However, we believe that financial markets are somewhat like Newton's law of physics. Newton's third law of motion has it that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. We think the Chinese express it best in their word for 'crisis'.
It comprises two other words, 'danger' and 'opportunity'. In our work with many organisations, it is apparent that the unease over foreign exchange markets is widely spread, if not almost universal. The organisation with a degree of knowledge and comfort in using exchange rate protection strategies therefore has the advantage.
